Privacy policy
This policy explains how Airren ("Marsmello", "we") collects and uses your personal data when you use marsmello.com or order from us on WhatsApp. We follow the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the rules made under it, along with the Information Technology Act, 2000.
What we collect
- Order details: your name, mobile number, delivery address, pincode, city and any gift note.
- Messages: what you send us on WhatsApp or email, including unboxing videos for claims.
- Payment info: for online payments (when enabled), payments are handled by our payment gateway (e.g. Razorpay). We don't see or store your card details or UPI PIN.
- Basic site data: your bag contents are saved in your own browser (localStorage) so they're still there when you come back. We don't currently use advertising trackers on this site.
Why we use it
Only to process and deliver your order, confirm COD orders, handle returns and support, meet legal and tax requirements, and, if you opt in, to send you occasional offers. You can opt out of marketing any time by replying STOP.
Who we share it with
Only what's needed: our fulfilment and courier partners (name, phone and address to deliver your parcel), our payment gateway, and government authorities where the law requires it. We never sell your data.
How long we keep it
Order records are kept for as long as tax and accounting laws require (generally up to 8 years). Chat messages and claim videos are deleted once they're no longer needed, typically within 12 months.
Your rights
You can ask us to access, correct, update or erase your personal data, withdraw consent, or nominate someone to exercise these rights on your behalf. Email hello@marsmello.com. We'll respond within a reasonable time and as required by law. If you're not satisfied, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
Security
We take reasonable security measures to protect your data. No online system is 100% secure, but we limit access to the people who need it to fulfil your order.
